The GP Antenatal Service operates in the GP After Hours clinic located within the Galliers
Specialist Centre of the Armadale Kelmscott Memorial Hospital.
Expectant mothers can be referred by their own GPs, self-refer or be referred by the Armadale
Health Service Midwives Clinic. All patients attending the clinic are bulk billed.
The shared care clinic is operated by a co-operative of accredited GP Obstetricians who work
on a roster system under the management of the Canning Division of General Practice.
The aim of the clinic is to improve access to quality GP antenatal care for pregnant women who
predominantly live in the Armadale district. The GP antenatal clinic utilises the resources
within the Armadale Health campus such as the midwives clinic, radiology and pathology as
well as specialist services, if required.
