Canning Division of General Practice (CDGP) has been announced as the successful agency to form the Bentley-Armadale Medicare Local (BAML) to commence operations from 1 July 2012.
CDGP would like to thank our partners and members for their support in the development of BAML.
The objectives of Medicare Locals include:

1. Improving the patient journey through developing integrated and coordinated services.
2. Providing support to clinicians and service providers to improve patient care.
3. Identification of the health needs of local areas and development of locally focused and responsive services.
4. Facilitation of the implementation and successful performance of primary health care initiatives and programs.
5. Be efficient and accountable with strong governance and effective management.

A new company limited by guarantee (Bentley-Armadale Medicare Local Ltd) has been established and is ready for operation.

BAML commits to keeping stakeholders and the community informed as the transition progresses, and we look forward to the shared journey of improving primary health care within our region.
